Rejesha by Njoki Munyi is themed on restoration, giving hope that though times of trials and difficulty may come, they won’t tarry, but in time, restoration will take effect. When the enemy’s plunder or tests seem to take away our joy, peace, dreams, aspirations and visions, we all need some hope, a reminder that God is faithful to restore all that is lost.
Being a believer opens one up to faith-refining trials, struggles against the flesh, battles against dark forces, storms of life. As such, the believer must hope in God for upholding, strength, victory, and even when in fault, look up to Him for mercy, grace and forgiveness.
Rejesha is a call to remember the goodness of our God, faithfulness – that no matter the circumstance, He is sure to restore, and His unfailing love – that when we fall, and run back to Him, he will accept us and restore us.

Scriptural references
Rejesha by Njoki Munyi is built on the promise of restoration. The song borrows from different scriptures as follows:
Restoration
There are times of loss and plunder, be it as a result of trials, like in the case of Job, or even judgement, as was the case of Israel in Joel 2. In such times, when all hope seems to fade, God’s promise to restore comes alive.
God promises to restore all that was lost, both material and immaterial objects, sometimes in multiple measures. Often, this restoration comes after the overcoming of a trial, or turning away from evil that brought about the judgement.
Joel 2:25-26 KJV
[25] And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. [26] And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. https://bible.com/bible/1/jol.2.25.KJV
Job 42:10, 12 KJV
[10] And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
[12] So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
[13] He had also seven sons and three daughters.
Upholding through trials
No believer is exempt from even the slightest of difficulties in their walk of faith. The Bible attests that trials will come to strengthen faith, and that God will often chastise those that He loves.
In the midst of this necessary hardship, God does not abandon the believer. Rather, His presence remains with the believer, and gives more strength to conquer.
Isaiah 43:2 KJV
[2] When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Psalm 23:4 KJV
[4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Ijapo safari iwe na ugumu
Utanishika mkono
Ijapo adui aje kwa vishindo
Bado Wewe uko na mimi
Ijapo safari iwe na huzuni
Utayapanguza machozi
Ijapo adui aje kwa vishindo
Bado Wewe uko nami
Utayarejesha maono yangu
Miaka yote iliyoliwa na nzige
Nimeona wema wako
Na nguvu zako maishani mwangu
Utayarejesha maono yangu
Miaka yote iliyoliwa na nzige
Nimeona wema wako
Na nguvu zako maishani mwangu
Ijapo safari iwe na ugumu
Utanishika mjkono
Ijapo adui aje kwa vishindo
Bado Wewe uko nami
Ijapo safari iwe na huzuni
Utayapanguza machozi
Ijapo adui aje kwa vishindo
Bado wewe uko nami
Utayarejesha maono yangu
Miaka yote iliyoliwa na nzige

Ijapo adui aje kwa vishindo
Bado wewe uko nami
Ijapo safari iwe na ukame
Wewe ni maji ya uzima
Ijapo adui aje kwa vishindo
Bado wewe uko nami
Utayarejesha maono yangu
Miaka yote iliyoliwa na nzige
Nimeona wema wako
Na nguvu zako maishani mwangu
Utayarejesha maono yangu
Miaka yote iliyoliwa na nzige
Nimeona wema wako
Na nguvu zako maishani mwangu
Akisema ndio hakuna wa kupinga
Nitasimama kwa agano Lake
Nimeona wema wako
Na nguvu zako maishani mwangu
Akifungua mlango hakuna atakaye funga
Amesema amesema, hakuna wa kupinga
Nimeona wema wako
Na nguvu zako maishani mwangu
Akikubariki hakuna wa kupinga
Simama leo kwa hilo neno
Nimeona wema wako
Na nguvu zako maishani mwangu
Akikuponya wewe umepona
Simama leo kwa ahadi zake
Nimeona wema wako
Na nguvu zako maishani mwangu
Umeyarejesha maono yangu
Miaka yote iliyoliwa na nzige
Nimeona wema wako
Na nguvu zako maishani mwangu
