Serenity in the Natural

Hey, shhh…

Shush. Let calm reign. Stick a megaphone into the stillest of sounds.

Let them whisper, a little louder. Let the tranquil ambience set in, and soak in it.

Therein; peace, safety and wellbeing come rushing to embrace. It’s the healing effect; a sorta afterglow of nature’s magnificent soundscapes.

Oftentimes, an obliterating shadow is cast upon the tranquility of nature by every day’s chatter and hullabaloo.

In the bustle of our hustles, tranquility drains away, and a deep longing for a bust-less, commotion-free space is left in us.

It’s the reason you’ll find Central Park, an urbanized jungle, beside the super tall and slender skyscrapers of the billionaires’ row in New York City.

It’s the same reason you’ll find animals of the wild jungle in the heart of Africa’s best ranked city.

Man and nature share a deep vital connection. To keep this connection alive, man will always create a space for nature to thrive untouched. Such spaces provide a much needed escape from the noise and bustles of man’s making.

Nature’s gift

As the ground is an all time home to current, so is nature to man; a place of belonging.

Current will bolt down towards the earth and find a befitting home. So will man get away from life’s commotion into a serene natural space.

There’s a serenity to be found in the vanishing of commotion and bustles; into a treat of the purest and wildest of nature.

It only comes when all else but nature shushes to a calm.

Now no longer obliterated, sounds of nature’s making come to life, intonating airwaves with beautiful and remarkable chants, chimes, and all manner of sounds.

In that moment, you begin to cultivate into the ambience. Every sensual part feeds into nature’s abundance of warm fuzzies. Cold hearts warm up, frowning faces smile; the afterglow becomes well visible.

This is nature’s gift to us, one we might have to escape from the noisy busy world to experience.

My upcountry escape

For a long time, one of the reasons I’ve looked forward to travelling upcountry has been the sight of the maiden night sky, unpolluted by light.

As far back as I can remember, every time I looked up in the night, I could see the vast dust of the milky way, a detail you won’t get here in the brightly lit city.

Now there’s more reason to fancy the upcountry – the sound of birds calling in the early chilly morning. Good thing is they don’t just stop there.

They’ll keep the chant on for the rest of the day. All you need is to lie still under the trees and cultivate into the soundscape. Oh the tranquil! Here’s a little piece:

As my ESIA Prof would end his lectures, I write off, protection of the environment is our responsibility.

Take care of nature. It takes care of us in ways we couldn’t ourselves.

Thank you for reading. Stay unleashed. Adios!
