Prayer

The Lord, Jesus, instructs to do three things as we pray: Ask, using your voice to tell God what you need. Seek, actively looking for God’s will in your life. Knocking, when you encounter a closed door, an obstacle, and you boldly push till it opens.

The order of the commands is intentional, with each step requiring more effort than the previous. As we pray, applying these three in every desire, knowing that each requires the previous, that you cannot ask for what needs to be sought, understanding when the effort to push past obstacles is needed to see the prayer fulfilled

Faith

A testimony is given on Paul and Silas when in prison, even though they suffered through being stripped and beaten, they did not consider that a reason to blame God, but rather a natural event that they knew they would undergo. Instead of responding with lamentation, they responded with prayer and praise and God delivered them.

As we go through life, we experience dark tough times. This testimony reminds us that the weapon of our liberation is our voice and trust in him. This is where we lay the faith we profess. By prayer and praise, through faith we knock down any obstacles

Faithfulness of God

Anytime things get rough, it is a natural response to feel like God’s word only gets fulfilled there in His word! We face a lot of trying times in the moments we trust God in prayer we give and the opportunities we want to see open for us.
We are encouraged to not lose hope that God has a track record of doing what He says not only in the scriptures but also in the lives of those who are around us. We can anchor our prayer on His trustworthiness and His word and on the testimonies of those who went before us.

[11]So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
